As seen in his name, Sub-Zero's ultimate power is freezing, so he did not get any other. His moves and finishers list represents all of his variable movements through all the MK history, which was displayed more huge in MKM. So his moves resemble those of first Sub-Zero with slightly changes. Actually, it is just a list of ways to freeze your opponents without causing any damage. This will make the player ultimately rely on combos. Some moves can be out of use, but allow to build really many different strategies.

As a person, Sub-Zero is now more self-determined and acts at his fully free will while on his personal quest. It was also very hard to come out with his outfit, which was later based on MK:Conquest appearance of Lin Kuei. In his battle style, the ice warrior combines both grace (for himself being a ninja) and strength (for John Turk being a bodybuilder). So his attacks can be powerful and agile enough. Also some attacks were added to him under inspiration of Bryan Fury, whom Sub-Zero slightly resembles in MKDA.

Sub-Zero's speciality is that he is an extremely good team partner. It is mainly because of his deep/double freeze move - while frozen, enemy can be smashed to pieces by Sub-Zero's teammate.

Sub-Zero seems to be game's main character, fighting for good, as he is the most recognised by other characters, thus having a massive set of dialogues with almost anyone.
